RAID RULES FOR CHP RAIDS (Updated 5/21/06)
ALL RULES SUBJECT TO CHANGE
RAID SCHEDULING – CHP (Official) Raids are led by volunteers, whom are knowledgeable of content. Raid responsibilities are to be shared by Alliance Guild Officers and Reps.
Summer 2006
Sundays/Mondays/Tuesdays – PoTime / GoD / DoN
Optional Targets = OOW / DoD
RAIDS will start at a given time. 15 mins later, guests will be invited. 30 mins later we move to target. Once guests have started to be invited to the raid no hydra/Alt or guest will be asked to leave to make room for Alliance member. You have 15 minutes to get there.
Example: Raid is scheduled for 8pm. 8:15pm guests are invited. 8:30 we move to target. If at 8:25 joesmurf shows up and there is no room, he is out of luck.
RAIDING LEVELS are as follows (applies to alliance members and guests):
65 +
AURA’S – No Aura’s will be allowed for PoTime P1 – P3 events.
GATE POTIONS – All NoN-Gaters MUST have a gate potion or device.
LAG – If you are assigned MA/SA/TA/Ramp or you are assigned CH Heal chain and are having Lag issues, please inform the Raid Leader, so that a replacement can be assigned. This is for the benefit of the Raid. You will be in no way negatively affected by coming forward with this information.
SHRINK - each raiding member MUST have a way to shrink themselves ie spell or shrinking device or potion and use it. Minimizing devices are readily available in the bazaar for around 300-500pp. Please also ensure you have batteries (size 6) on you to recharge the device should it run out of charges during a raid. The only people who have reason not be shrunk on raids are MT/SA, pullers in some zones and necro's using lich.
EB ITEM - some raids are held in underwater zones. In these raids, all raiders are required to have an enduring breath item or use eb tribute for the raid duration. EB spells and water stones will not cut it.
FLOATING (DMF, SOE, FOE, Lev, etc) on CHP raids is prohibited unless directed by the raid leader team.
VETERAN REWARDS JESTER is prohibited on CHP raids.
GUESTS
If you bring a guest to an alliance raid, it is your responsibility that the guest is familiar with Alliance rules as you will be held responsible for their actions.
ASSIST KEYS
Make /assist keys for the MA, SA, TA at the beginning of raid when they are announced. If you don't know how to make this key send a /tell to someone in your group/class who will assist you.
/assist off - turns off auto attack. We don't want to be killing those planar projections or killing enchanters by breaking mez.
Always /assist the MA for target and wait for the engage call in the raid channel before attacking.
DON'T TRAIN THE RAID - If you are getting attacked, stand still, die, get a loc and consent the raid.
LOOT - Only CHP reps and Raid leaders are to be looting. All items will go into the Alliance bank to buy dots, pearls, emeralds, coffins. Clerics, mages, wizards, necro's etc who use component spells at raids should contact CHP reps for replacement supplies. Tradeskill items will be banked and determined later. Other items will be sold to supply the bank.
ITEM loot will be awarded as per the CHP loot policy. Do not send tells with bids until specifically asked to by the Loot Coordinator. Remember to check your point totals before the raid starts. On many targets there will be mobs to be dealt with after the main target dies and it is not helpful if half the raid is alt/tab out or ld to check points.
CHANNELS:
Here is a current list of the channels that CHP uses regularly during raids:
Raid Channel
Allchat
ChpRaid
Individual Class Channels ... chpwar, chpwizard, chphealer, chpdruid, chppullteam, chpkite ... etc
RAID CHANNEL: This channel is the main raid channel. It is to be used for raid instructions, inc mob messages, assist calls, loot distribution, as well as anything else that the "Raid Leader" deems necessary. This channel is to be kept clear of any / all chatter. "Gratz" messages are NOT to be done in this channel.
ALLCHAT: This channel is shared between Hand of Chaos and Praxium as a means to communicate between the two guilds; such as guild chat, LFG messages, group invites between said guilds ... etc. Currently this channel serves as our main chat channel during raids ... as well as outside of raids. This channel is "password" protected and is NOT to be given out to anyone outside of Hand of Chaos and Praxium unless approved by one of the said guild officers before hand. Congratulations on loot, flags, dings / pings, etc ... are to be done in this channel and not the Raid channel ... as we have done in the past.
CHPRAID: This channel is used as a primary raid communications channel ONLY when our raid force exceeds 72 characters or in situations that require raid communications both inside and outside of the raid (Solro chamber preparations). The Raid Leader will instruct you if there is ever a need to /join this channel.
CLASS CHANNELS: Currently used for "intraclass" communications ... war to war, clr to clr, kite member to kite member ... etc . Depending on the moderator of this channel ... this channel is also used for chatting. Healers on our raids are using a form of a "healer's channel", and "should you find the need to spam your heal messages, this is where is to be located". CHPWAR, CHPHEALER, etc…
BUFFS and REQUESTING: At the beginning of each and every raid it will be the responsibility of the Individual that they have the necessary Buffs via /tell.
GROUP LEADERS:
Group leaders are responsible for ensuring that group members have group buffs as required. Group leaders may designate this responsibility within the group if necessary, however only 1 person from the group should be requesting group buffs.
Group leaders are responsible for communicating Raid Instructions within the group.
IN CASE OF DEATH - if you die on a raid consent all rogues and monks in the raid as a minimum. It is easier now to type /consent raid and everyone should do this as they arrive at their bind point.
If we wipe or you die do NOT go afk without sorting someone to get your corpse. If someone asks you for consent then do not go into a debate about how many people you have consented or that you already have. If you are asked for consent then the person asking does not already have it.
PETS – NO PET HOLD AA = NO PETS. Be careful when setting pets on raid mobs so they will not push the target out of position. Classes with swarm pets eg wizards, mages, shaman should also check out whether these are acceptable since they can generate considerable push.
DON'T MOAN - and whine if you get asked to do a job you don't like. We need to help each other with the different tasks on raids. If you get assigned a boring task just do it - next time it’s likely to be someone else's turn. Moaning/whining/yelling about anything in chpbuffplus or raid channel during a raid really creates bad karma. Don't do it.
GOING AFK - if you need to go afk in a raid put up /afk and ensure your group knows you are not at the keyboard. Use /follow on someone sensible in your group ie not a puller or melee - and tell them - to ensure you stay with the raid.
IF IT LOOKS LIKE WE ARE WIPING - do NOT camp out unless you are instructed to do so by the raid leader unless you are the designated camping cleric or paladin. You must help buy the rezzers time to get out. Do NOT give the call to camp/evac unless you are a raid leader. Do NOT evac or gate unless you are 100% certain you can get back to the raid quickly.
CHP 85% PROCESS:
The CHP Reps use the following process to 85% CHP characters into a raid target zone that requires certain advancement flags. Five flagged characters are needed to allow one unflagged characters into a target zone. Under the best of circumstances, only 12 unflagged characters can get in under 85% rules. Attempting to bypass or circumvent the 85% process is not allowed.
1) After the raid target has been selected and determined that 85% will be required, a CHP representative communicates via the ALLCHAT channel for those characters needing 85% to join the CHP85 channel, report outside the target zone, and do not go AFK.
2) At the scheduled raid start time (or later if the target has not been selected yet), a CHP Rep will set a random seed and instruct those in the CHP85 channel to /random.
3) One minute later, a CHP rep announces that /random is closed in the CHP85 channel and determines the 85% order from highest roll to lowest roll. Ties will be ordered from 1st rolled to last rolled. First, full CHP guild members will be ordered by their rolls, and then apprentices/pledges will be ordered by their rolls in the 85% queue.
4) Latecomers who miss the initial /random are placed at the end of the 85% queue after they /random any number outside the target zone within the proximity of the CHP representative.
5) As each unflagged joins the raid, the CHP representative instructs them to zone into the target zone, drop from the group, but not from the raid and get their LFG flag up.
6) Characters that are not at the designated location or characters that are AFK when it's their turn for a raid invite lose their spot in the 85% queue and are placed at the end of the queue.
Rarely, there may arise a situation where a required class is needed for the success of the raid. In this case, if the CHP reps agree, the character may be prioritized over other characters in the 85% queue.
SECOND RAID - Having an overfull raid condition is a good thing, however we need a process that is consistent and fair. If a second raid is needed a Raid Inviter will be identified for the second raid. Commands will be given in channel CHPRAID ... which should be treated as the raid channel in this situation. When the target is killed characters from Raid 2 should disband the raid and put up /lfg to get an invite into Raid 1 for flagging.
DISCIPLINE: Repeated infractions of the CHP Raid Rules may result in the alliance member (and/or their guest) being removed from the raid and/or the forfeit of a Raid Point from the alliance member's total at the Raid Leaders and CHP Reps discretion.
